Due to the necessity of observing strict distancing and hygiene measures and the uncertainty of customer demand during the winter of 2020/21, we are offering a choice of three set price menus only. A three-course menu (now just £34.00) and options of five or seven course tasting menus (now just £44.00 and £54.00 respectively), available at dinner, Wednesday through Saturday. There are a vegetarian options for all three menus.
Over the Christmas and New Year holidays in 2020, we are open as usual on Chritmas Eve; closed to non residents on Christmas Day 2020; open on Boxing Day from 12:00 'till 20:30 serving a set price three course menu with seasonal blackboard specials; open for dinner as usual on Wednesday 30th December; open for a special celebratory dinner on New Year's Eve; and open on New Year's day from 12:00 'till 20:30 serving a set price three course menu with seasonal blackboard specials; and, finally for dinner, as normal on Saturday 2nd January 2021.
During the remainder of January, 2021 we shall be opening for dinner on Fridays and saturdays only.
Please note that in order to minimise the risk of late cancellations and 'no shows' at a time when the necessary coronavirus measures make the operational economics very fragile we shall require a non-refundable credit card deposit of £5.00 per diner for all bookings, irrespective of table size. Upon reserving your table you will receive an email, confirming your booking and requesting payment of your deposit. The email will contain a link enabling you to make a secure payment of your deposit. The deposit is transferable if we are notified 72 hours or more prior to the reservation.
The emphasisin James's cooking style is on creating unique flavour combinations using fresh, seasonal and, wherever possible, local produce. So, whatever your choice of menu, your taste buds are in for a treat. All James's menus include vegetarian options and he is happy to cater for those suffering from most food allergies and intollerances.

As all of our dishes are made on the premises we are happy to advise on their suitability regarding specific allergies and with advance notification we are happy to cater for any dietary constraints.

All our prices are inclusive of VAT. There is no service charge but should you wish to reward good service please be assured that all such payments are distributed to staff in full and paid to them over and above their agreed salaries
